Sreyassu
Established in 2006 by LEPRA Society, Sreyassu is a comprehensive project providing medical and psychological services with people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) in 27 villages in Jaggaiahpeta mandal of the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Since the start of the program the incidence of registered HIV patients in the program has reduced from approximately 301 new cases to 97 new cases, currently. Additionally, we reduced death rates from 15% to less than 2% from 2006 to 2012. More importantly, as a result of this program IADHO is improving the quality of life and socio-economic status for HIV/AIDs patients and families by providing educational grants for children, foster care support and livelihoods training for adults along with access to essential HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services.
Arodya Darshini
Through a IEC (Information, Education and Counselling) project, community health workers and volunteers use multimedia vans equipped with an LCD projector, relevant technology and educational materials to educate marginalized communities in remote villages of rural Andhra Pradesh particularly affected by communicable diseases such as Malaria, HIV/AIDs, Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Filariasis on prevention and treatment mechanisms. In addition, volunteers stage interactive street plays in the local language to educate the community on relevant health topics in an interactive manner.
Knitting
IADHO volunteer Ms. Uma Vallabahaneni, in NYC initiated a project called "knitting for charity" in 2013. For a sponsorship of $25 to IADHO, our volunteers knit caps and scarves which will then be donated to a local charity in need. In 2013, IADHO committed to donating knitted scarves and caps to a Long Island based charity called Hour Children whose mission is to help incarcerated and formerly incarcerated women and their children successfully rejoin the community, reunify with their families, and build healthy, independent and secure lives.
Lepra

MHC
Started in 2006, the Mobile Health Clinic is a comprehensive and primary care services for 14 interior and inaccessible villages in Musunur and Chatran mandals of the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh, India. In partnership with LEPRA Society, the project provides weekly health clinics, physician services, and medicine distribution with proper record keeping. As a result of this program, infant mortality has been significantly reduced and in the last year alone, the clinic enabled 100% safe deliveries and increased birth weight of 272 children birth weight to more than 2.5 Kgs (healthy weight is considered 2.0 kgs) as a result of nutritional and medical services provided by the clinics. The program also promotes proper maternal and child care encouraging institutional delivery.
